勃纳尔（Pierre·Bonnar·cl 1867－1947）是法国19世纪末20世纪初纳比派的著名画家，年轻时在巴黎学习艺术期间，深受高更和日本浮世绘的影响，又继承印象派丰富色彩与活泼的实践精神，进一步结合了印象主义的客观性和象征主义对文化记忆与情感的基本主张。

勃纳尔的风景油画以色彩的奇特魅力而闻名。他对题材不讲究，早期曾受一些风格化版画、招贴画和插图影响，有舞台美术和传统牧歌式的构图模式痕迹，尔后他的风景中渐渐排除了这些人为的构成因素，开始以纯粹自对色彩的偏好为题，进行创作。
勃纳尔绘画手法独特，不是直接摹写生活的某一场景，而是根据记忆和草稿决定一幅画的先决题材。他画的人体融合了日本浮世绘的构成原素和德加风味的浴女图式。人体多在逆光的照射下，神采奕奕、青青焕发，画中的纱窗、衬布、镜子以及投影，或斑斓辉煌，或深黑出格，人体所呈现的黄土色调、冷紫色调在投影的反衬中愈见轮廓分明，分外神秘莫测。

勃纳尔画中的大部分设色用琐碎的笔触，在画布上反复涂抹，使人看似杂乱无章，没有一块纯净之色，正由于这种绚烂多月票的色彩效果，把色彩的对比度、音乐感、神秘性、发挥到了极致，使后来的彩画家们惊叹之已，仅能望其项背。
